Hey Dixie, we really missed you, so nice to hear you are finally back!!! so are you gonna fill us in on all of the good stuff? Yes I made it through Christmas and New Years and I'm happy its done> I don't mean to sound like a party pooper  I'm just glad its done!!!! hope you had tons of fun....

Love the pooped out doggy, yes, I really enjoyed being Mama's girl and visiting my son and sister. It was so nice to just leave my troubles behind even if it was just a few weeks. I did have a wonderful Christmas, it was a first for just me and Mama on Christmas morning, I got to play Santa for her this time. Man, I feel like I have gained 10 pounds, it was either Mama or me at the stove cooking away. I did feel a little guily by not being here with my two older sons and their families though.
We had a pretty bad wind storm on Wed. and lost power for about 12 hours. The weather reported the winds to reach about 60 miles per hour and boy can they do some damage with trees. One fell on a suburan about a block from Mama's and also downed a power line, lucky no one was in the car and it was just parked in their yard because it was flattened by a huge oak tree. I stayed at Mama's and she went to my ister's home because she had power. It finally came back on at 2:30am, I stayed there because mama was worried someone would try and break in. I got tickled at my Son, he insisted I need another pistol, if I would not come home with him or let him stay the night. My visit was great and I had a wonderful Christmas, could even say "Spoiled" a little. I stayed a little longer, I just didn't want to leave Mama. Each visit, she seems a little more fragile, and that stinks! How was yours? Are we ready for a valentine story yet? Love in Springfield!
